We who have lived in Miami for most of our lives have always cried out why don't the Millionaire Athletes who play for teams in the Miami area come to the Hood, help out and give back. Actually, this is a sad question for all of the neighborhoods throughout the nation. Miami has been blessed with a guy who doesn't fit this mold; no, not Alonzo Mourning. He came to Miami with a burning desire to give back to the less fortunate despite suffering a career-threatening ailment. This brother and his family have continued there positive endeavors in Overtown and throughout this community. May his example be a lesson to others! We say to you Zo while we will miss your great athletic skills on the Miami Heat, we pray that you will continue to call Miami your home . And may you be blessed with health and happiness and an NBA championship . Thanks Zo!!!
